Business Planning
John R. Baker, jrbaker@iastate.edu

Farm business planning is a process that should become a routine to help farmers think about the long-run implication of daily decisions. The process should also assist farmers in formalizing their long-term vision. Planning often facilitates communication, reduces the temptation to minimize or delay detailed analysis, and helps to answer the question "what should I do now?"
