PROJECT SUMMARY
The Advanced Topic Series (ATS) is a series of courses that are intensive one and two-day trainings designed to address marketing and management risks identified by producers and commodity groups as important to producers´ future success. Preliminary results of an impact survey being conducted this year of previous ATS courses indicate a significant increase in producer income.
A total of 10 short courses would be offered across Texas this year with an estimated enrollment of 175 to 225 producers. A comprehensive evaluation component will be continued that includes a two-year post-survey to measure adoption and financial impact, and focus groups to address content and attendance. An advertising campaign being currently designed by a media consultant to increase attendance will be implemented and its impact evaluated.
