PROJECT SUMMARY
An Industry Review Committee (IRC) consisting of Texas Producers and commodity group sponsors of the national award winning Master Marketer Program reviewed the first two year results of the Advanced Topic Series (ATS) and unanimously recommended continuing the series. The courses are intensive one and two-day short courses designed to address marketing and management risks identified by producers as important to their future success.
A total of 8 – 10 ATS short courses would be offered across Texas this year with an estimated enrollment of 175-225 producers. A comprehensive evaluation component will be added to include: a 2½-year post-survey to measure adoption and financial impact; focus groups to address content and attendance; and a media consultant to review/enhance participant recruitment.
