| PROJECT SUMMARY |
| Annie’s Project has proven successful in the Midwest as a comprehensive educational program and support network for farm women, providing new learning avenues and introducing technologies to manage the farm business. The curriculum focuses on farm and family financial management with opportunities to learn specifics about marketing, insurance, communications and other important topics. Our adaptation of Annie’s Project to Oklahoma is expected to be no less successful in developing local groups of well-informed women with increased confidence in their ability to contribute to and make farm business decisions. It is expected that 40 women will participate in Annie’s Projects in three different geographic locations (northeast, southeast and northwest Oklahoma). Participants will become stronger partners in their agricultural operations through a better understanding of business planning and finances and the impact on their families and through increased awareness of organizations that can provide accurate information needed for decision-making. |
