PROJECT SUMMARY
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS)will partner with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) to provide a "Train the Trainer" workshop for Florida Agricultural Extension Agents at the organization´s annual meeting in September, 2007. The workshop will provide an overview of Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR-Lite) crop coverage. The workshop will addres producer concerns, coverage eligibility and the process to obtain. We will also have a panel of experts present a question and answer session. Agents will receive materials they can use locally to communicate this information to the producers they serve. This training is an excellent opportunity to reach the vast majority of extension agents who will be attending. In addition to the AGR-Lite education, the meeting will provide an opportunity for trainers to recieve immediate feedback and address their plan for local outreach.
