| PROJECT SUMMARY |
| The Alaska Farm Bureau will conduct four conferences in rural areas of Alaska to provide risk management education from farm organizations, Federal and State agencies. These organizations have tried to serve the farmers/ranches through meetings, but distance has been a factor. Most rely on newsletters. While this method is better than nothing, it does not always address the issues, answer questions and expalin in detail enough for producers to always understand how programs fit into their organization. Risk Management, the total concept of addressing all financial issues for both the farm and the farm family is the main focus of this program. Attention will be focused on reaching the underserved and isolated farmers. |
