Intensive Technical Assistance (ITA)

TAA Intensive Technical Assistance for Businesses is an optional benefit program that will help you 1) analyze potential changes to your individual business and 2) implement viable business alternatives to improve your competitiveness and profitability.

Purpose: To improve your profitability and ability to compete with imports.

Intensive technical assistance will give you:

1. Individual initial assessment or an initial workshop
   Identification of the specific needs of your business or key issues in your industry might include:
   • Need to develop new markets or identifying marketing opportunities
   • Advice on producing a higher quality product
   • Analysis on reducing production costs
   • Exploration of value-added opportunities
   
2. Assistance analyzing your business and your options
   Customized analysis to meet your individual needs might include:
   • Financial analysis of current business and evaluation of potential alternatives
   • Development of a business and/or marketing plan
   • Evaluation of new products, production methods, direct marketing, business expansion or    recreational enterprises
   
3. A written technical assistance plan
   To include some or all of the following:
   • Current situation and discussion of potential alternatives
   • Analysis and financial projection of selected alternatives
   • Business or marketing plan
   • Implementation plan
