Women in Working Lands (Post-conference) Seminar

The purpose of this event is to inspire those who serve women on working lands with a clear picture of the brave history and the modern future of women on the land.  We want to celebrate women and working lands leaders from the land, and in education, advocacy and government. It is our sincere hope that this event will inspire leaders and promote careers on the land and in government and education.

Agenda

12:15p – Depart Baltimore’s Tremont Plaza Hotel - Box lunch on Bus

1:00p – Arrive in Washington DC
Free time: Suggested self-guided tour:  Jefferson Monument and Tidal Pool

2:00p – Gather at South Building       

3:00 – 5:00p – Seminar in Jefferson Auditorium (South Building)

Panel Presentation - Women involved with Agriculture, Rangeland and Forestry - challenges and opportunities which helped shape their passion and commitment and involvement in their career.
 
5:00 – 7:00p – Reception in the Whitten Patio (Whitten Building)

  • Women and Working Lands Hall of Fame - Inductions

8:00p – Free time: Suggested self-guided tour: World War II, Viet Nam, Korea and Lincoln   Monuments

9:00p – Depart Washington DC - bus ride back to Baltimore’s Tremont Plaza Hotel
